The patisserie, confectionery and chocolaterie Lembcke was founded by Paul Lembcke in 1915 in Hamburg and relocated to Grande after the war, in 1949. Back then the Grander Bauernbrot [coarse rye bread] was the most sought-after of the Lembcke products.
The company moved to Schwarzenbek in 1964, where it was run by the two brothers Holger and Uwe Lembcke. Delicious fine pastries and chocolate creations were produced, with particular attention to detail.
Andreas Coppenrath took over the family-run business from Holger and Uwe Lembcke in 2009, with the two of them remaining faithful to the company as consultants to this day. In this way, future continuity of company management remains assured.
Apart from supplying the premium market in Germany, the company also exports its products to Switzerland, Austria, France, England and Belgium, among other.
